Extraordinary Drawers! is a photographic competition to use the hidden life contained within drawers to share insights int the everyday lives of ordinary people.

We invite you to open up a drawer that reveals something of who you are and what is important to you (not just underwear please, unless
your socks are particularly unusual!).

Do you have a scarf drawer, a present drawer, a drawer full of plants? Do your kitchen drawers give a glimpse of ordinary life in 2016? Do you have an oddment drawer that contains a random set of objects or a drawer full of craft bits and pieces?

Children and young people - what have you hoarded away, snap a picture on your phone and send it in.

Grannies, what are you saving to pass on to the next generation?

Does anyone have a trousseau in a drawer or mementos from previous members of your family?

What about your faith? Do you have a drawer full of religious artefacts at
your synagogue, church or mosque?

No need to tidy, just take a picture and UPLOAD YOUR DRAWERS!

We want to make a colourful and quirky exhibition of a private world of ordinary stuff that will tell some extraordinary stories of faith, cultures and journeys.

There will be a prize or two .. watch this space!
